"I'm an English man in NL" "A British working professional meets a place called home ..." Work: I currently work in Events & Hospitality, in the multi-national corporate events sector for clients like ING, Booking.com, Adyen, MCI, Leaseplan, Nike, IDFA at well known and established locations like.. Het Scheepvaartsmuseum, Fabrique des Lumières, like Amstel Hotel, Sofitel Legend The Grand, Okura and Het Concertgebouw etc in The Netherlands.... Rental history: Currently leaving a wonderful studio in Amstelveen due to reaching the end of a two year lease contract in mutual agreement with the owner. I've lived in self-sufficient properties in Amsterdam (5 times) 24 yrs, in Haarlem shared (1), 9 months, in IJburg (1) 1 yr, in Almere Poort (1) 2 yrs, Amstelveen (1) 2 yrs. Hoping to move back to Central Amsterdam (closer), and/or live somewhere close to public transport as parking at locations is near impossible sometimes.... I have always been very handy when it comes to fixing and solving things in a property. I have frequently done layout improvements/changes in properties that I have rented to the delight of the owners. I would mostly make a 3D model of the floorplan to envision the design layout changes necessary for the living space and I most recently solved a heating issue within two months of moving into the studio in Amstelveen. (By researching, buying and installing cost-effective and efficient infrared heating panels to better regulate the studio climate and aid the underfloor heating that was not sufficient for any situation under 14 degrees celsius). Suggested and installed a Google Nest doorbell to alleviate unnecessary uninvited doorbell ringing. I researched, purchased and installed a washer/dryer under the kitchen counter by adjusting the space under the kitchen worktop so that it could be hidden behind the cabinet door. I suggested to have a pre-installed skylight hinged to enable better airflow with the glass windows/entrance only on one side of the converted boxy garage studio. I also created a wall divide, (doubling as a wardrobe) to create a private space where the bed could be placed behind. All this, at zero labour cost to the owner, because I just like to see things improved upon whenever needed.... Personality type: I am the reliable and responsible type tenant who loves to dance (modern, contemporary) and socialise between my busy schedules. I love having meaningful conversations over dinner, as well as joking around and having a laugh. Always tidy, timely, respectful and easy-going. I'm into philosophy, awareness, music, movies, art, design, keeping fit, a healthy positive spiritual attitude and especially being there for someone other than yourself. I believe this is a part of human nature that, (in modern times), is sadly more frequently forgotten/not even known by many and that's why I sometimes coach people in my spare time.... Cultural aspects: I am well travelled (over 860 cities according to Google) and culturally savvy. I speak Dutch (fluently), French, German, but also a fair bit of Turkish, Italian, Thai, Greek and a few words in Arabic and Hebrew.... Johnson (= my first name :-) ....
